Dr Gayani is a female general practitioner, who has moved to Darwin 4 years ago. She started her Australian medical carrier from Royal Darwin Hospital and gained experience within the Australian system by working in General Surgical, Ear, nose and throat speciality, Geriatrics and Emergency Medical units.
Following that, she joined Top End Medical team to continue her carrier as a GP. She is currently working towards her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Gayani qualified as a medical practitioner in 2004 in her home country of Sri Lanka worked there for 14 years as a General Practitioner and also in hospital based practice. She has experience in Paediatrics, Haematology, General surgery and Cardiothoracic surgery.
Her special interests are in Paediatrics, general surgery with minor procedures and women health.
